Regular Season Round 16: Mladost ZE - Srem 90-77

Leader Mladost ZE delivered the fourteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Srem (11-5) 90-77 in Zemun. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Srem. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Mladost ZE's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-16 extending their advantage to 13 points. They shot 61.0 percent from the field. Mladost ZE had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Mladost ZE especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Slobodan Lalic (195-86, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Aleksandar Radulovic (190-88, agency: Beo Basket) who added 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Mladost ZE players scored in double figures. Mladost ZE's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Djordjo Djordjic (198-78) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Nino Celebic (191-91) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Mladost ZE maintains first position with 14-2 record. Newly promoted Srem dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Napredak. Mladost ZE will meet Mladost SP (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Srem will play against Sloboda (#10) and hope to secure a win.
