The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Denizli (16-3) in Ankara on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourteenth ranked Mamak DSI (7-12) 73-66. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Denizli. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Mamak DSI made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Denizli helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mustafa Bakir Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Power forward Nezih Ozbakir (206-80) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Mamak DSI players scored in double figures. American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and center Eren Beyaz (208-85) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Denizli. Denizli's coach Okan Cevik rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mamak DSI moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Final Genclik. Denizli at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Mamak DSI is looking forward to face higher ranked Gelisim (#7) in Izmir in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Denizli will play at home against Gediz (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
