Regular Season Round 21: Art.Dragons - Telekom Bsk 71-79

Date: February 7, 2015
No shocking result in a game in Quakenbrueck where fifth ranked Telekom Baskets (13-8) won against 8th ranked Artland Dragons (10-11) 79-71 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 46-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Artland Dragons were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Dirk Madrich (212-83, agency: LUMANI 10.7) stepped up and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Lithuanian guard Benas Veikalas (192-83, college: Metro St.) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was international center Andreas Seiferth (209-89, agency: LUMANI 10.7) with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American forward Lawrence Hill (203-87, college: Stanford) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Telekom Baskets moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ratiopharm. Loser Artland Dragons dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Telekom Baskets will face BG Goettingen (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Artland Dragons will play against Phoenix Hagen (#12) and hope to win that game.
