Regular Season Round 28: Tonybet - Neptunas 63-86

Very predictable result when second ranked Neptunas (22-3) rolled over 9th ranked Tonybet (6-19) in Prienai 86-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Neptunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The winners were led by power forward Simas Galdikas (204-87) who scored that evening 11 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Mustafa Shakur (192-84, college: Arizona) supported him with 9 points and 6 assists. Neptunas' coach Kazys Maksvytis felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 7 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists by forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85) did not help to save the game for Tonybet. Forward Arnas Labuckas (205-87) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Neptunas have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-3 record having just two points less than leader Zalgiris. Tonybet lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 19 games lost. Neptunas will meet at home league's leader Zalgiris in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tonybet will play against P.Zvaigzdes (#5) and hope to secure a win.
