Regular Season Round 21: Baunach - Vechta 66-48

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Baunach (9-12) beat at home 9th ranked SC Rasta Vechta (9-12) 66-48. The game without a history. Baunach led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SC Rasta Vechta to just 6 points in first quarter. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a good game for guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Anthony Lee-Ingram (195-88, college: Brescia, KY) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) answered with 7 points and 16 rebounds and guard Chase Griffin (188-83, college: Pepperdine) added 12 points in the effort for SC Rasta Vechta. SC Rasta Vechta's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Baunach moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Vechta and Kirchheim. SC Rasta Vechta lost their fifth game in a row. Baunach's next round opponent will be higher ranked ETB Wohnbau (#7) in Essen and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
