No shocking result in a game when third ranked Levski Sofia (11-5) crushed at home 6th ranked Beroe (6-9) 92-58. The game without a history. Levski Sofia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Levski Sofia forced 22 Beroe turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Beroe's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Beroe helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Aleks Simeonov (200-93) who scored 42 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field). American point guard Jimmie Hunt (187-82, college: Franklin Pierce, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 9 points and 8 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Levski Sofia. Defending champion maintains third place with 11-5 record having just two points less than leader Lukoil Acad. Beroe at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Levski Sofia will have a break next round. Beroe will play at home against Chernomorets (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
