Regular Season Round 18: Steaua CSM - Oradea 92-75

An interesting game for Steaua CSM (14-2) which hosted in Bucuresti 3rd ranked Oradea (10-7). First ranked Steaua CSM had an easy win 92-75. The game was mostly controlled by Steaua CSM. Oradea managed to win fourth quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Steaua CSM dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Oradea's 40. It was a good game for American Bill Amis (206-87, college: Hawaii) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. The former international Titus Nicoara (202-88, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Steaua CSM players scored in double figures. Steaua CSM's coach Niksa Bavcevic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian guard Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-90, agency: 011 Sports) replied with 19 points and 5 assists and Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Oradea. Steaua CSM maintains first position with 14-2 record. Oradea at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with BC Timisoara and Pitesti. Steaua CSM are looking forward to face CSU Sibiu (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oradea will play against Timba Timosoara (#12) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
