Regular Season Round 19: Weissenhorn - Karlsruhe 69-68

Fifth-ranked BG Karlsruhe (9-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (13-5). Weissenhorn Youngstars managed to secure only one-point victory 69-68. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Randal Holt (185-91, college: Kent St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. Canadian guard Jordan Baker (201-91, college: Alberta) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188-89) answered with 13 points and 6 assists and Rouven Roessler (198-80) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for BG Karlsruhe. Four BG Karlsruhe players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Weissenhorn Youngstars maintains second place in Group South with 13-5 record having just two points less than leader Iserlohn. BG Karlsruhe lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Schwelm and Fraport SKY II. Weissenhorn Youngstars will play against Wuerzburg (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BG Karlsruhe will play against Saarlouis and hopes to get back on the winning track.
