Important game to mention about took place in Kedainiai. Tenth ranked Nevezis (4-21) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Lietkabelis (8-18) 87-84 on Monday evening. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-17 Lietkabelis' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 87-84 at the end of the game. Nevezis brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Lietkabelis was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Justas Tamulis (194-94) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and American guard Markus Monroe (188-89, college: Wayland Baptist) who added 17 points and 6 assists during the contest. Five Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. Nevezis maintains tenth position with 4-21 record. Lietkabelis lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 18 games lost. Nevezis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lietkabelis will play at home against Mazeikiai (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
