Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kaunas: Zalgiris II (#2) and JAZZ-Diremta (#7). JAZZ-Diremta was defeated at home 74-83 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. JAZZ-Diremta was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 21-10 charge of Zalgiris II, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 JAZZ-Diremta turnovers. Paulius Valinskas (190-95) nailed 21 points for the winning side and point guard Laurynas Beliauskas (189-97, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 15 points and 4 steals. Five Zalgiris II players scored in double figures. Guard Arunas Sakalauskas (191-91) came up with 15 points and center Vaidas Trepocka (200-80, agency: Court Side) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for JAZZ-Diremta in the defeat. JAZZ-Diremta will play against Palanga and hopes to get back on the winning track.
