Regular Season Round 20: Hanau - Langen 95-66

There was no surprise when 9th ranked TV Langen (7-12) was outleveled by fifth ranked White Wings (11-8) in Hanau 95-66 on Saturday. White Wings made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while TV Langen only scored four points from the stripe. White Wings looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Cardell McFarland (182-87, college: Ky Wesleyan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Tobias Jahn (204-86, college: Cal Poly Pomona) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. Benedikt Nicolay (190-91) replied with 11 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Martinis Woody (201-82, college: Benedict) added 12 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for TV Langen. Five White Wings and four TV Langen players scored in double figures. TV Langen's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. White Wings have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group South, which they share with Dragons and Wuerzburg. Loser TV Langen keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. White Wings will face league's leader Iserlohn on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TV Langen will play against Dragons Rhoendorf (#3) and hope to win that game.
