Second Stage Round 2: Stevnsgade - Lemvig 89-75

Very important is a road loss of Lemvig (0-2) against Stevnsgade (1-1) on Saturday night. Visiting Lemvig was defeated by Stevnsgade in Stevnsgade 89-75. The game was mostly controlled by Stevnsgade. Lemvig was better in second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Stevnsgade won last quarter 26-13. They also forced 22 Lemvig turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Swingman Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the effort and American forward Jordan Sullivan (188-91, college: Montana) supported her with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Stevnsgade's coach Igor Gavrilovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by American guard Joanna Miller (173-91, college: Grambling St.) did not help to save the game for Lemvig. Forward Helle Kristiansen (179-92) added 20 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Four Lemvig players scored in double figures. Stevnsgade will play against Horsholm at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lemvig will play against Amager in Kastrup to get more than just one victory in their record.
