Very expected game when 14th ranked Osmaniye (2-14) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Adana ASKI (11-5) 84-69. Osmaniye was ahead by 14 points at the halftime before a 53-24 second half run of Adana ASKI. They outrebounded Osmaniye 38-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American forward Erlana Larkins (185-86, college: N.Carolina) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 25 rebounds and the other American import point guard Briann January (173-87, college: Arizona St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) supported her with 19 points. Four Adana ASKI players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds by Brazilian center Kelly Santos (192-79) did not help to save the game for Osmaniye. American D'Andra Moss (178-88, college: VCU) added 11 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Osmaniye's coach Aydin Uguz rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Adana ASKI have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 11-5 record. Osmaniye lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Adana ASKI's next round opponent will be higher ranked Fenerbahce (#3) in Istanbul and it may be quite challenging game. Osmaniye will play on the road against Ormanspor (#13) in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
