Regular Season Round 22: B.Muenchen - Ludwigsburg 102-76
Date: February 14, 2015
There was no surprise when 9th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (10-12) was crushed on the road by third ranked Bayern Muenchen (18-4) 102-76 on Saturday. Bayern Muenchen made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. EnBW Ludwigsburg was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket) fired 22 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) chipped in 23 points. Four Bayern Muenchen players scored in double figures. American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) produced 12 points and 4 assists and naturalized American forward Adam Waleskowski (203-82, college: Florida St., agency: Three Eye Sports) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Bayern Muenchen have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 18-4 record behind leader Brose Bask. Loser EnBW Ludwigsburg dropped to the tenth place with 12 games lost. Bayern Muenchen will face BBC Bayreuth (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against the league's second-placed ALBA Berlin (#2) and hope to win that game.
