An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Wuerzburg. First ranked s Oliver Baskets faced their biggest opponent Giessen 46ers. Host s Oliver Baskets (20-2) smashed guests from Giessen (15-7) 75-54. American center Darren Fenn (208-80, college: Canisius, agency: LUMANI 10.7) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Samme Givens (198-89, college: Drexel) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. Cuban swingman Yorman Polas (192-85) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American guard T.J. DiLeo (190-90, college: Temple) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. s Oliver Baskets have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-2 record. Giessen 46ers at the other side dropped to the third place with seven games lost. s Oliver Baskets are looking forward to face BV Chemnitz 99 (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
