Very expected game in Bursa where 15th ranked Tofas (6-13) was defeated by second ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (15-4) 86-77 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-77. It was a great evening for international swingman Melih Mahmutoglu (193-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) helped adding 18 points. Five Fenerbahce Ulker players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh) responded with 20 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and international Samet Geyik (205-93) scored 10 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Fenerbahce Ulker. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Loser Tofas keeps the fifteenth place with 13 games lost. Fenerbahce Ulker will face Karsiyaka (#4) at home in the next round. Tofas will play against Banvit BK (#6) in Balikesir and hope to win that game.
