Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Science City Jena and 5th ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg where Science City Jena (12-10) rolled over MLP Academics Heidelberg (13-9) on the road with 41-point difference 97-56. Science City Jena dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to MLP Academics Heidelberg's 18 and made 22-of-25 charity shots (88.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Science City Jena especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by MLP Academics Heidelberg's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brady Morningstar (190-86, college: Kansas, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Forward Julius Wolf (202-93, agency: LUMANI 10.7) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Science City Jena players scored in double figures. Forward Nils Menck (203-82) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Kelvin Martin (195-89, college: Charleston So.) added 6 points and 5 assists in the effort for MLP Academics Heidelberg. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Science City Jena have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 12-10 record. MLP Academics Heidelberg lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with ETB Wohnbau and Hamburg.
