Ninth-ranked Mersin (7-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Abdullah Gul (13-3). The visitors from Kayseri managed to secure only one-point victory 59-58. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mersin. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Abdullah Gul made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Abdullah Gul have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-3 record behind leader Galatasaray. Mersin at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Besiktas. Abdullah Gul will play against Edirne (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Mersin will play against Besiktas in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
