No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Istanbul Universitesi (12-4) defeated at home 13th ranked Ormanspor (3-13) 105-91. The game was mostly controlled by Istanbul Universitesi. Ormanspor was better in fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Istanbul Universitesi made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by American center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) who scored that evening 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (181-89, college: Drexel) supported her with 23 points (made all of her ten free throws !!!). Istanbul Universitesi's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by American center Kara Braxton (198-83, college: Georgia) did not help to save the game for Ormanspor. Montenegrin Ana Dabovic (183-89) added 21 points and 6 assists for lost side. Five Istanbul Universitesi and four Ormanspor players scored in double figures. Istanbul Universitesi moved-up to third place, which they share with Fenerbahce. Newly promoted Ormanspor keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Istanbul Universitesi's next round opponent will be Canik Bld (#11) in Samsun and are hoping to win another game. Ormanspor will play against Osmaniye and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
