Second Stage Round 3: Stevnsgade - Horsholm 64-71

The biggest surprise of round 3 in Dameligaen was guest Horsholm's (#2) road victory over Stevnsgade (#3) 71-64 on Tuesday evening. Stevnsgade trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 25-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 64-71 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Stevnsgade 45-31 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Joy Burke (196-90, college: Arizona St.) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds. Horsholm's coach Roberto Velosa used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jordan Sullivan (188-91, college: Montana) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) added 10 points respectively. Horsholm are looking forward to face Amager in Kastrup in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stevnsgade will play on the road against Lemvig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
