No shocking result in a game in Ankara where third ranked Sakarya BSB (16-5) defeated 14th ranked Mamak DSI (7-14) 68-62 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 35-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) who scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds. Sakarya BSB's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Mustafa Bakir Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Nezih Ozbakir (206-80) added 12 points respectively. Newly promoted Sakarya BSB maintains third place with 16-5 record behind leader Buyukcekmece. Loser Mamak DSI keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Sakarya BSB will face Gediz (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mamak DSI will play against Mersin in Akdeniz and hope to win that game.
