The game in Kaunas was also quite interesting. Third ranked Palanga (17-17) played at the court of 7th ranked JAZZ-Diremta (5-29). Palanga defeated JAZZ-Diremta 80-65 on Friday. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 46-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Palanga looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Point guard Deividas Anuzis (184-92) fired 9 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Center Adomas Drungilas (203-90) chipped in 17 points. American guard Malcolm Hawkins (196-91, college: Norfolk St.) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Gintautas Kybartas (204-94) added 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Palanga moved-up to second place, which they share with Zalgiris II and Zanavykas. JAZZ-Diremta lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 29 games lost. Palanga will face league's leader Delikatesas in Joniskis in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JAZZ-Diremta's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena Zalgiris II.
