Regular Season Round 21: Stahnsdorf - Rist Wedel 85-69

There was a surprise result in Stahnsdorf where ninth ranked RSV Eintracht (9-12) beat higher ranked SC Rist Wedel (13-9) 85-69 on Friday. American point guard Travis Smith (190-91, college: Mercer) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 assists for the winners and Robin Jorch (208-94) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five RSV Eintracht players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Brandon Spearman (190-91, college: Hawaii) with 25 points and 8 rebounds and center Christoph Roquette (202-82) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. SC Rist Wedel's coach let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory RSV Eintracht went down to tenth position (Group North) due to points difference, which they share with Recklinghausen. SC Rist Wedel lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with nine games lost. RSV Eintracht will face higher ranked DRUFF! (#7) in Braunschweig in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SC Rist Wedel will play on the road against the league's leader Seawolves (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
