Fifth-ranked White Wings (11-9) gave a tough game to first ranked Iserlohn (16-4) on Saturday. Iserlohn managed to secure only two-point victory 69-67. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of White Wings. 27 personal fouls committed by White Wings helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Four Iserlohn players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Cardell McFarland (182-87, college: Ky Wesleyan) with 16 points and Tobias Jahn (204-86, college: Cal Poly Pomona) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Iserlohn maintains first place in Group South with 16-4 record. White Wings at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Karlsruhe and Wuerzburg. Iserlohn are looking forward to face Licher Basket (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. White Wings will play against Wuerzburg (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
