Very expected game in Wuppertal where 7th ranked Barmer TV (8-10) was rolled over by third ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (13-5) 69-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel. Barmer TV was better in third quarter 12-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was forward Carolin Christen (177-93) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Canadian forward Raelyn Prince (191-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Paige Sickmiller (175, college: Wayne St., MI) who recorded 16 points and center Leonie Bleker (189-90) added 3 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel maintains third position in North with 13-5 record behind leader Veilchen. Newly promoted Barmer TV keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel will face Hagen Phoenix (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barmer TV will play against Lichterfelde (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
