An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Odessa. Second ranked Interkhim faced 4th ranked Blyskavky. Host Interkhim (3-1) smashed guests from Vinnytsia (1-3) 78-53. The game without a history. Interkhim led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Blyskavky to just 6 points in second quarter. Interkhim dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Blyskavky's 22 and made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Blyskavky 54-14 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Kateryna Kovalyova (185-89) who led her team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Olga Borisenko (185-90) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Interkhim's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Viktoriya Ilchyshyna (168-91) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and center Irina Nykyporets (187-85) added 14 points in the effort for Blyskavky. Interkhim maintains second position in League with 3-1 record having just -1 point less than leader DVUFK. Blyskavky at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Interkhim will play against Suzirja (#4) in Rivne in the next round. Blyskavky will play at home against Frankivsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
