A very interesting game took place in Istanbul. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 13th ranked ITU Istanbul (8-14) to sixteenth ranked Istanbul DSI (6-16) 63-61 on Saturday evening. American forward Esian Henderson (206-86, college: Central Mo.) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Soner Sahin (202-84) supported him with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Istanbul DSI's coach Ali Burgul allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) did not help to save the game for ITU Istanbul. Guard Onur Sonsirma (190-85, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 19 points (made all of his seven free throws) for lost side. Istanbul DSI moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Afyon and Pertevniyal. ITU Istanbul lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Istanbul DSI's next round opponent will be higher ranked Adanaspor (#10) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
