DBBL top team - TSV 1880 Wasserburg (19-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Oberhausen (4-15) 79-70. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-18. But Oberhausen won second period 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Slovakian center Anna Jurcenkova (195-85) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. The former international guard Svenja Brunckhorst (179-91) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four TSV 1880 Wasserburg players scored in double figures. American Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Lea Mersch (170-87) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. TSV 1880 Wasserburg have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-0 record. Oberhausen lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will meet at home SV Halle Lions (#5) in the next round. Oberhausen will play against Fireballs (#12) in Bad Aibling and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
