Rather expected game when 8th ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (7-12) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked SV Halle Lions (12-8) 64-60. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BC Pharmaserv Marburg won third quarter 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American swingman Tiffany Porter-Talbert (177-84, college: W.Kentucky) contributed with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for SV Halle Lions. They maintain fifth place with 12-8 record. BC Pharmaserv Marburg at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. SV Halle Lions' next round opponent will be league's leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will play against Rhein Main Baskets (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
