Very important is a road loss of second ranked Oldenburg (13-10) against eleventh ranked USC Leipzig (10-12) on Sunday night. Visiting Oldenburg was defeated by USC Leipzig in a tough game in Leipzig 71-76. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Oldenburg. USC Leipzig made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Oldenburg turnovers. The best player for the winners was American center Khalil Kelley (203-91, college: Pacific) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Center Marian Schick (204-86) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Preston Wynne (184-87, college: Vanguard) who recorded 23 points and 4 assists and center Kai Haenig (205-88, college: Missouri Valley) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Oldenburg's coach Mladen Drijencic tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. USC Leipzig moved-up to eighth place in Group North, which they share with Itzehoe. Loser Oldenburg dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. USC Leipzig will meet at home higher ranked AstroStars (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oldenburg will have a break next round.
