Very predictable result in Porto where second ranked Electrico FC (13-3) defeated 9th ranked Vasco (4-10) 104-90 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Electrico FC. Vasco managed to win fourth quarter 36-35. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vasco 47-26 including a 34-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Electrico FC looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Aylton Medeiros (194-88) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Joao Lanzinha (188-89) chipped in 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Electrico FC players scored in double figures. Guard Joao Veludo (177-92) produced 30 points and 5 assists and Joao Oliveira added 20 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Vasco's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Electrico FC have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-3 record having just three points less than leader FC Porto. Vasco lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Electrico FC will meet at home Academia (#5) in the next round. Vasco will play against Guifoes (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
