Very important is a road loss of second ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (14-5) against fifth ranked TH Wohnbau Angels (12-7) on Sunday night. Visiting TV Saarlouis Royals were defeated by TH Wohnbau Angels in a tough game in Noerdlingen 65-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of TV Saarlouis Royals. TV Saarlouis Royals were ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 45-29 second half run of TH Wohnbau Angels. They made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game, while TV Saarlouis Royals only scored four points from the stripe. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four TH Wohnbau Angels players scored in double figures. American swingman Kayla Tetschlag (182-89, college: Green Bay, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and American-Trinidad and Tobago forward Kellindra Zackery (183-88, college: Newman) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for TV Saarlouis Royals in the defeat. TH Wohnbau Angels moved-up to fourth place. TV Saarlouis Royals at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. TH Wohnbau Angels will play against ChemCats Chemnitz (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. TV Saarlouis Royals will play against Eisvogel Freiburg (#7) and hope to get back on the winning track.
