Very expected game in Aarhus where 10th ranked Aalborg (2-22) was crushed by second ranked Bakken (19-3) 90-53 on Thursday. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bakken outrebounded Aalborg 55-29 including a 39-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Aalborg's players. The best player for the winners was the former international center Chris Christoffersen (218-79, college: Oregon) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. International center Jonas Zohore Bergstedt (210-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. Bakken's coach Ville Tuominen felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Trey Sumler (188, college: W.Carolina, agency: Two Points) who recorded 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Kittitian guard Javorn Farrell (196-90, college: UTPA) added 19 points respectively. Bakken have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 19-3 record having 2 victories less than leader Horsens IC. Aalborg lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Bakken will meet Vaerlose (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aalborg will play against Naestved and hope to secure a win.
