Second Stage Round 12: Suduva-Mantinga - Perlas-MRU 65-77

The game between Top Four teams took place in Marijampole. 3rd ranked host Suduva-Mantinga (22-14) lost to first ranked Perlas-MRU (27-9) 77-65. The guests were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 27-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by forward Antanas Udras (203-92) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Remigijus Sugintas (200-87) supported him with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Perlas-MRU's coach Mindaugas Sakalauskas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds by forward Paulius Petrilevicius (200-91) did not help to save the game for Suduva-Mantinga. Forward Donatas Sabeckis (197-92) added 16 points. Perlas-MRU maintains first position with 27-9 record. Suduva-Mantinga at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 14 games lost. Perlas-MRU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Suduva-Mantinga will play on the road against the league's second-placed Ezerunas-Karys (#2) in Moletai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
