The game in Zaporozhye was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked BC Kyiv (13-11) played at the court of 7th ranked Ferro-ZNTU (10-13). BC Kyiv managed to secure a 4-point victory 78-74. Ferro-ZNTU was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. The winners were led by power forward Maksim Sandul (207-91) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 22 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman Pavlo Krutous (195-92) supported him with 19 points and 9 assists. Even 23 points by the former international guard Mykola Vilkhovetskyi (191-88) did not help to save the game for Ferro-ZNTU. Forward Yakov Zmitrovich (200-84) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Kyiv moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cherkasy. Ferro-ZNTU lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. BC Kyiv's next round opponent will be higher ranked Dnipro (#3) in Dnepropetrovsk and it may be the game of the week. Ferro-ZNTU will play at home against the league's second-placed Budivelnyk (#2) and hope to win that game.
