Not a big story in a game in Frankfurt where 12th ranked Saarlouis (5-16) were defeated by eighth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (10-11) 90-80 on Saturday. Saarlouis were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Johannes Richter (206-93, agency: LUMANI 10.7) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Marius Nolte (206-81) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Four Fraport Skyliners II players scored in double figures. American guard Ricky Easterling (188-83, college: Bridgewater) produced 36 points (!!!) and 5 assists and naturalized Bosnian center Hari Mujkanovic (204-88) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Saarlouis' coach Chris Cummings rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fraport Skyliners II moved-up to seventh place in Group South, which they share with Schwelm. Newly promoted Saarlouis keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face Licher Basket (#10) on the road in the next round. Saarlouis will play against the league's leader Iserlohn having rather not much hope for a victory.
