There was no surprise in Ivano-Frankivsk where 5th ranked Blyskavky (1-4) was defeated by third ranked Frankivsk (3-2) 75-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Frankivsk. Blyskavky managed to win third quarter 22-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Frankivsk looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Blyskavky helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International swingman Krystyna Matsko (182-91) fired 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Larysa Stadnik (178-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Frankivsk players scored in double figures. Center Irina Nykyporets (187-85) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Viktoriya Ilchyshyna (168-91) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Frankivsk maintains third place with 3-2 record having just -2 point less than leader Dynamo-NPU. Blyskavky at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Kondicioner. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
