Rather expected game when 5th ranked Akhisar Bld (15-8) lost on the road to second ranked Buyukcekmece (18-5) 85-74. It looked good early as Akhisar Bld took a 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Buyukcekmece took control getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and eventually winning the game that evening by 11 points. Buyukcekmece made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American power forward Kahiem Seawright (206-86, college: Rhode Island) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Sahin Ekmen (203-89) helped adding 22 points. Buyukcekmece's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Lance Goulbourne (203-89, college: Vanderbilt) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Erdem Ilter (188-90, agency: Ali Guney BA) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Buyukcekmece keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Denizli. Akhisar Bld at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Meliksah. Buyukcekmece will play against Istanbul DSI (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Akhisar Bld will play against Balikesir (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
