Top ranked Seawolves (15-8) recorded its eighth loss in Rostock on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked SC Rist Wedel (14-9) 85-81. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Seawolves. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in Group North. American point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: Robert Morris) fired 26 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Fabian Boeke (208-86, college: Washington St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four SC Rist Wedel players scored in double figures. DR Congolese-Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) produced 31 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Jarrell Crayton (200-90, college: Mont.St.-Billings) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SC Rist Wedel moved-up to second place in Group North. Newly promoted Seawolves still keep top position with eight games lost. SC Rist Wedel are looking forward to face Sixers (#13) in Sandersdorf in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Seawolves will play at home against Recklinghausen (#9) and are hoping to win this game.
