We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Joniskis where tenth ranked Delikatesas (18-18) defeated 9th ranked Zalgiris II (18-19) 81-74 on Saturday. Zalgiris II was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 24-13 charge of Delikatesas, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Sarunas Kulevicius (191-89) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side Paulius Valinskas (190-95) responded with 18 points and power forward Laurynas Birutis (210-97) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Zalgiris II's coach Tomas Masiulis tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Delikatesas moved-up to ninth place. Loser Zalgiris II dropped to the tenth position with 19 games lost. Delikatesas will meet at home Silute (#13) in the next round. Zalgiris II will have a break next round.
