Regular Season Round 23: Balikesir - Final Genclik 80-76
Date: February 28, 2015
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Balikesir (16-7) beat at home 12th ranked Final Genclik (9-14) 80-76. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as Final Genclik took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Balikesir had a 24-16 second period charge getting the lead and Final Genclik was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-80. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Aubrey Coleman (193-87, college: Houston) helped adding 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Balikesir players scored in double figures. Guard Reginald Holmes (193-87, college: Morgan St., agency: Two Points) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and forward Damien Kinloch (203-80, college: Tenn Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Balikesir have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 16-7 record. Final Genclik at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Balikesir will play against Akhisar Bld (#6) on the road in the next round. Final Genclik will play against Afyon (#17) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
