Not a big story in a game in Adana where 9th ranked Mersin (7-12) was defeated by seventh ranked Botas (9-10) 77-68. Mersin was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Botas dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Mersin's 26. Botas forced 26 Mersin turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. American-Armenian swingman Quianna Chaney (180-86, college: LSU) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American center Michelle Snow (196-80, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Spanish point guard Sandra Ygueravide (172-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 16 points in the effort for Mersin. Four Mersin players scored in double figures. Botas moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Besiktas and Edirne. Mersin lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. Botas will play against Edirne (#8) on the road in the next round. Mersin will play against Hatay and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
