Undefeated leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg delivered the twentieth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked SV Halle Lions (12-9) 70-45. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SV Halle Lions. The game without a history. TSV 1880 Wasserburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to SV Halle Lions' 20. Slovakian center Anna Jurcenkova (195-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. International Anne Breitreiner (184-84) contributed with 20 points for the winners. TSV 1880 Wasserburg's coach Bastian Wernthaler felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Laura Hebecker (182-93) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Brianna Kulas (185, college: Missouri) added 10 points in the effort for SV Halle Lions. TSV 1880 Wasserburg (20-0) have an impressive 20-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 20 victories in a row. SV Halle Lions at the other side keep the fifth place with nine games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will play against Rhein Main Baskets (#9) in Langen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SV Halle Lions will play at home against Fireballs (#12) and hope to get back on the winning track.
