Very expected game in Kaunas where 7th ranked Jaunieji Talentai (5-20) was defeated by third ranked Aistes-LSU (15-9) 81-67 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-67. Aistes-LSU outrebounded Jaunieji Talentai 49-27 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. International power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Monika Petrauskaite (182-92) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds. Laura Juskaite (186-97) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Agne Bobinaite (180-97) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aistes-LSU maintains third place with 15-9 record having ten points less than leader Utena. Jaunieji Talentai lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 20 games lost. Aistes-LSU will meet at home Kibirkstis-VICI (#5) in the next round.
