There was no surprise when 12th ranked Oradea (4-22) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Galati (15-11) 76-50. The game without a history. Galati led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oradea to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Galati held Oradea to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Galati had a 37-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Oradea's players. The game was also dominated by American players. Center Chelsey Lee (193-89, college: Rutgers) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Amber Jones (170-91, college: UAB) supported her with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Galati players scored in double figures. Even 24 points and 8 rebounds by Tanisha McTiller (172-92, college: Towson) did not help to save the game for Oradea. Guard Fila Smith (173, college: Savannah St.) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galati moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Timisoara. Oradea at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 22 games lost.
