Liga Feminina top team - CAB Madeira (18-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Academico FC (3-15) in Porto 85-38. CAB Madeira held Academico FC to an opponent 20.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Forward Marta Bravo (180-85) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international center Lavinia Silva (186) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) during the contest. The best for the losing side was international forward Francisca Braga (180-90) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Ana Silva scored 8 points. Academico FC's coach Americo Santos gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. CAB Madeira have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-0 record. Academico FC lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Alges. CAB Madeira will play against Lousada (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Academico FC will play against Benfica and hopes to get back on the winning track.
