Very important is a road loss of third ranked Titans (13-10) against seventh ranked Magdeburg (12-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Titans were defeated by Magdeburg in a tough game in Magdeburg 65-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Titans. Point guard Jonathan Ghebreigziabiher (174-91) scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American Joseph Buck (201-81, college: USC) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Magdeburg players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Philipp Lieser (194-89, college: Cent.Washington) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American Damon Smith (200-88, college: Mary) scored 16 points. Magdeburg moved-up to fifth place in Group North, which they share with Bochum. Titans at the other side keep the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Oldenburg. Magdeburg will meet AstroStars (#6) in the next round. Titans will play against Hertener Loewen and hope to secure a win.
