Bottom-ranked Univ.Cluj (0-21) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 21th consecutive match to fifth ranked Pitesti (12-8) 92-67. The game without a history. Pitesti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Pitesti forced 20 Univ.Cluj turnovers. American point guard Ronald Ross (188-83, college: Texas Tech, agency: LUMANI 10.7) notched 25 points and 4 steals to lead the effort and Bosnian-Serbian guard Marko Sutalo (194-83, agency: PEPI SPORT) supported him with 25 points. Four Pitesti players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 6 assists by American guard Brian Burrell (192-84, college: UTPA) did not help to save the game for Univ.Cluj. Forward Alin Borsa (201-90) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pitesti moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Univ.Cluj still closes the standings. Pitesti will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Univ.Cluj will play again at home against Pitesti (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
