Regular Season Round 25: Wolfpack - Svendborg 86-91

The biggest surprise of round 25 was guest Svendborg's (16-8) road victory over 3rd placed Wolfpack (15-9) 91-86 on Thursday evening. The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 26-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The game was dominated by American players. Point guard Johnell Smith (180-80, college: New Orleans) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Svendborg's coach Craig Pedersen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. point guard Ryan White (180-88, college: Texas St.) produced 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Jyles Smith (206-92, college: Savannah St.) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Svendborg and five Wolfpack players scored in double figures. Svendborg have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Wolfpack dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Svendborg are looking forward to face league's leader Horsens IC in Horsens in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wolfpack will play on the road against Vaerlose and is hoping to win this game.
