Regular Season Round 30: DniproAzot - Halychyna 76-90

Bottom-ranked Halychyna managed to get the fifth consecutive victory on Thursday night. This time they won against tenth-ranked DniproAzot in Dniprodzerzhynsk 90-76. The game was mostly controlled by Halychyna. DniproAzot managed to win third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Halychyna looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by DniproAzot helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Nikola Polyulyak (192-90) scored 21 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Anton Davydiuk (205-92) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Halychyna players scored in double figures. Halychyna's coach Maksym Fomichev used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Stanislav Ovdeyenko (191-84) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Eugene Harris (188-86, college: High Point, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 18 points. Halychyna (6-20) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place. DniproAzot lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 19 games lost. Halychyna are looking forward to face higher ranked Ferro-ZNTU (#7) in Zaporozhye in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. DniproAzot will have a break next round.
